8,000 Spectators

(1) Karl Anderson & Killer Rabbit vs. Jado & Gedo
Winner: Rabbit (4:47) following the Mochitsuki Drop to Gedo.
(2) Tomoaki Honma, Tama Tonga, Ryusuke Taguchi & Tiger Mask IV vs. Toru Yano, Yujiro Takahashi, Tomohiro Ishii & Rocky Romero
Winner: Romero (9:33) with a Backslide on Taguchi.

(3) Special Tag Match NJPW vs. NOAH: Hirooki Goto & KUSHIDA vs. Takashi Sugiura & Atsushi Aoki
Winner: Sugiura (11:13) following the Olympic Qualifying Slam to KUSHIDA.
(4) Togi Makabe & Wataru Inoue vs. Yoshihiro Takayama [Takayama Hall] & Lance Archer
Winner: Takayama (10:28) following a Running Knee Lift to Inoue.
~ Things are definitely heating up following the last two matches, Takayama gets the win and Makabe gets laid out following the match. I think we could see this feud carrying over into the Dome show.
~ Then Goto and Sugiura seem to be far from finished. Could we see Goto vs. Sugiura at the Dome on 1/4?

(5) TenKoji Reunion ~ TenKoji vs. CHAOS: Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima vs. Takashi Iizuka & Hideo Saito
Winner: Tenzan (10:25) with the Anaconda Vice on Iizuka.
~ TenKoji is back and possibly stronger than ever. They announced following the match that they are looking to recapture to the IWGP Heavy Tag Team Belts.
~ So could we see “Bad Intentions” Bernard & Anderson vs. “TenKoji” Tenzan & Kojima at the Dome?

~ Also following the match, CHAOS put the beat down on Saito and it seems he has been removed from CHAOS.
~ Well now it will leave the question to whether Hideo Saito will remain the brain dead wrestler that he is now, or if his memory will eventually return and in turn he could become a serious player?

(7) IWGP Intercontinental Championship Match: [Champion] Masato Tanaka vs. [Challenger] MVP
Winner: Tanaka (10:09) following the Sliding D.
~ Successful 2nd Defense.
~ The Complete Players (Tanaka & Yujiro) once again overwhelm MVP following the match.
~ In frustration after the match MVP Makes an international call.
To whom? I am not certain at this time, but does this mean MVP is bringing in an old friend, possibly someone from his WWE days? Or someone he has competed with previously? I guess we will find out soon enough.
~ So as of right now I suspect we may see Masato Tanaka & Yujiro Takahashi vs. MVP & (to be announced). Maybe?

Winner: Suzuki (11:53) following the Gotch Style Piledriver.

(10) IWGP Heavyweight Championship Match: [Champion] Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. [Challenger] Yuji Nagata
Winner: Tanahashi (30:16) with the High Fly Flow.
~ Successful 10th Defense

~ Following Tanahashi’s record win, Minoru Suzuki came out and made the challenge to face Tanahashi for the IWGP.
~ The next title match scheduled for Tanahashi will be at WRESTLE KINGDOM VI @ the Tokyo Dome on Jan. 4th.
~ So at this point we may be seeing Tanahashi vs. Suzuki headlining the biggest show of the new year.

About BushidoRX

I grew up loving The Great Muta, Jushin Thunder Liger, etc. after seeing them on American tv in the early 90's, since then I have been watching whole events from Japan from roughly 1997-1998. My first experiences in Japanese Pro Wrestling are mixed between AJPW and FMW. Since then I have grown up and found myself enjoying all promotions in Japan. I really dug into the '90's of NJPW, and I can say that is one of my favorite times of watching matches, Shinya Hashimoto, Keiji Mutoh, Kensuke Sasaki, Jushin Liger. and others from that era really opened my eyes to the sport as a whole. I also tend to not be negative to anything involving pro wrestling, since it is all just a form of entertainment. Also being a former pro wrestler myself I see everything in a whole new light and respect everyone who tries to be a real pro wrestler.
